Today is Veterans Day. It honors those who served: those who survived as well as those who died, those who served in peacetime as well as those who served in time of war, regular force or National Guard or reserve.
Gene Castignetti, director of the National Cemetery of the Pacific once said:
Those who served wrote a blank check, payable to the United States of America for an amount up to and including his life. The currency of freedom is the blood, sweat and tears of a nation's people,"
Throughout this day, the day we celebrate our countries heros, take a moment to reflect on and appreciate those who this day honors.
