"Do the One Thing" - It can change your life!



Have you ever felt overwhelmed, like you have too much to do and not enough time to do it?

Everyone feels this way sometimes, and sometimes you may feel this way a lot!

No matter what your "it" is that you need to get done, and no matter how long your to-do list is, there is one strategy that can help.

 

It's called "Do the One Thing" method.


The process is simple, but be prepared. It will take a few weeks to master this method to make you more productive and focused.

Steps to Using "Do the One Thing" Method


  1. Do a brain dump - write down every little - and big thing you need to do
  2. Prioritize based on urgency - decide what needs attention the fasted
  3. Number your list - write down your task in order of importance
  4. Complete each one in succession - get started at #1 and keep moving through list

Note: This requires you to focus your attention on one task at a time. Shut out all distractions. Set a time for 5 Minutes and work on the task at the highest position on your priority list. Reset the timer as needed. Take breaks when your brain needs a rest.

Once you finished #1, move to task #2, then move to task #3.

Unbreakable Rule of "Do the One Thing"


Here's a rule of the "Do the One thing" method you must follow:

If task #1 is not finished, you cannot move on to any of the following tasks because task #1 is the most important, after all.

If you completed tasks 1-4, you must move on to task 5 next. Skipping task 5 and jumping to task #8 is not an option.

Why?

Because YOU have determined the importance of each item on your list based urgency. Take you decisions to stay focused and productive very seriously.
