The creator of the Khan Academy, Salman Khan, start out creating videos to help tutor his cousin with her math. His videos got lots of views and he had a large following. Bill Gates Foundation has invested in the academy because Mr. Gates discovered this learning resource for his son and he saw the value in it.
Salman figured if he could help a few, he could probably help many more. Eventually, his mission evolved. He wanted to change education for the better by providing world class education to anyone, anywhere.
